"I wanted to call the piece “Dreamhouse” because 1. It’s inspired by the Barbie movie and 2. It’s for a friend’s brand new home so it seemed doubly fitting! And just like in the production of the Barbie movie I also went through multiple tubes of pink paint...hehe 💓
I enjoyed painting this piece so much more than I expected. I was challenged and grew a lot. I had many moments where I really got lost in the sauce …and by sauce I mean the ooze stuff. I don’t normally paint “real” things so it was fun and interesting painting the boot-house since it’s the most grounded in reality thing I have done in a while. It reminded me that I have the capabilities to crush still life’s if I want to haha. Fun fact I used the teeny tiniest brush to get those details on the door hehe…"
